Council approves shaded playgrounds for Keller Sports Park project

Here are your winners! As part of ongoing improvements at the Keller Sports Park, nearly 750 of you voted on replacements for the site’s two playgrounds.

Perfect for staying loose between games, entertaining kiddos who aren’t competing or simply enjoying throughout the year, the new designs will feature plenty of swings, slides, climbing features and more — plus full shade coverage over the main structures. After City Council’s formal approval this week, Parks & Rec expects them to be installed by summer 2025.
