Keller ISD’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department is calling on local business professionals to help high school seniors sharpen their interviewing skills during its annual Student Mock Interviews on Wednesday–Thursday, October 1–2, 2025. Sessions will be hosted at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning, 201 Bursey Road, Keller, TX 76248.
The district aims to recruit approximately 300 volunteer interviewers. You don’t need an HR background—just real-world experience and a desire to mentor the next generation. Volunteers commit to a three-hour block, during which they’ll conduct six, 20-minute interviews followed by 10-minute feedback conversations that focus on confidence, professionalism, and clear communication.
Two time blocks are available each day to fit busy schedules:
- Morning: 7:30–11:30 a.m.
- Afternoon: 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
CTE provides sample questions, student résumés, scoring/assessment tools, and all materials so volunteers can step right in and make an impact. Interviewers may register for one session or multiple sessions across the two days.
By participating, professionals offer students a supportive first look at real hiring conversations—an experience that helps seniors translate classroom learning into workplace readiness while building confidence before college, military, or career pathways.
