Tarrant County College has been awarded funding through Texas’ $20 million JET grant program to strengthen its welding education and prepare students for high-demand careers.
The grant will support expanded hands-on learning opportunities at the college and help train 140 students. The initiative is intended to connect graduates with quality jobs across Texas.
The investment reflects the college’s focus on workforce training in areas where employers need skilled workers. Through expanded welding education, students will have additional opportunities to build practical skills for careers in the field.
Tarrant County College described the grant as part of a broader effort to build a stronger workforce through stronger training.
