Notice of Public Hearing on the FY2026-2027 Proposed Budget

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Watauga, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, on Monday, August 10, 2026 during the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road, Watauga, Texas. The proposed budget is available for inspection at City Hall and is posted on the City’s website, www.wataugatx.org.

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE LESS TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY, $55,318, WHICH IS A -0.50% DECREASE FROM LAST YEAR’S BUDGET, AND OF THAT AMOUNT, $92,068 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.
