We are almost a third of the way through the water meter replacement project with over 6,900 meters replaced so far. In October, our contractor will be working in neighborhoods located:

south of Loop 820 and west of Rufe Snow Dr.

-south of Mid Cities Blvd. and east of Davis Blvd.

These areas are shown on the first two maps below. If you live in one of these areas, you will receive a door hanger a few days before the installation of the new meter.

  • Each Vanguard employee will wear a uniform with a visible company logo and their vehicle will be marked with the Vanguard logo.
  • There will be a temporary service interruption when your water meter is replaced, but typically less than 30 minutes.
  • Workers from Vanguard will do all of the work outside at your meter box near the curb and will not need to go inside your house. You will not need to be home when the meter replacement takes place.

The third and fourth maps show areas of the city where meters have already been installed. Residents in these areas now have access to Eye on Water, which allows you to monitor your household water use. Go to www.eyeonwater.com or download the EyeOnWater app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access your information. You will need the account number from your water bill to get started.

There are a few locations on the third and fourth maps where water meter replacements are still pending. This includes businesses where the replacement needs to be scheduled, locations where the meter box or valve needs to be replaced, and other unique circumstances.
