July 24, 2024

On July 8, 2024, the City of Richland Hills Public Works Department, in conjunction with the Tarrant County District 3 Road Crews, will begin a mill road overlay project on Norton Drive (between Evergreen Drive to Glenview Drive). With the assistance of external contractors, the City has already completed curb and gutter repairs prior to the road overlay. The project is anticipated to last from July 8, 2024, through July 19, 2024A few items to note:

Additional project information:

•    Tarrant County crews are anticipated to start work on the July 8 at approximately 7:00 AM.

•    Mill and Overlay Projects involve six to eight inches of asphalt ground up and applied with concrete slurry as a road base. Then approximately six to eight inches of new asphalt are overlayed on top of the road base

•    Cross Utilities (A sub-contractor of Atmos) will begin gas line relocation (if necessary) on July 8-9.

•    Traffic will be detoured west bound to Ruth Road to allow crews to complete their work.

•    County Crews will start work on Noron Drive close to Glenview Drive and work south bound. Cross Utilities will start work further south of Glenview Drive on Norton Drive and work south bound to stay in front of County Crews.

•    There is the potential for conflicts with on-street parking. While freshly laid asphalt dries quickly, residents might be required to temporarily park further away from their driveways/residences.

The City Thanks you in advance for your patience and understand during this project.
