Employers and interns across Texas are invited to join the Texas Intern Network Conference on National Intern Day, July 31, hosted at Dallas College.

The event, championed by Joe Esparza, Commissioner Representing Employers, is designed to strengthen the bridge between classroom learning and real-world job skills by connecting students with local employers. Attendees will gain insights into career pathways, work-based learning, and how internships benefit both jobseekers and businesses.

“For employers, internships reduce hiring risk and improve confidence. For students and jobseekers, they open doors to meaningful careers with upward mobility,” said Esparza. “They are powerful tools in our economic toolbox—and when aligned well, they are win-wins.”

The conference will feature employer-led mock interviews, networking sessions, and resources for businesses to develop or enhance their internship programs. Employers will also learn about available incentives and support for hosting paid internships.

Partners for the event include Dallas College, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas.

All Texas employers are encouraged to register and bring their interns for a day of engagement, growth, and connection.
