Beginning Monday, June 15, Reynolds Asphalt will begin repaving streets in several Bedford neighborhoods. The work will include removing the existing road surface (mill) and applying new asphalt (overlay) on the following streets:
- Memphis Drive
- Winchester Way
- Knoxville Drive
- Atlanta Drive
- Lexington Place
- Savannah Way
- Chattanooga Drive
- Charleston Drive
- Richmond Drive
- Gettysburg Place
Work is anticipated to last approximately 3-4 weeks, weather permitting. Crews will start milling operations along the northern streets (Memphis/Winchester area) and work their way south. While work is taking place on your street, residents are asked to park in their driveway, and not on the street. Crews will be working in the area Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Trash service will NOT be impacted for residents along these streets. On collection days, please place trash/recycling at the curb, as normal. Crews will relocate trash to a centrally located area for Republic Services crews to pick up.
While work is underway, expect temporary traffic delays, lane closures, and occasional driveway access restrictions. Please allow extra travel time. Residents will be notified in advance if driveway access will be affected.
Door hangers will be delivered to affected homes on Thursday, June 11.
