The fall theater season is in full swing across Keller ISD, bringing dazzling productions, impressive student performances, and unforgettable evenings of entertainment to the community. Students, families, and theater fans are invited to experience two highly anticipated musical productions taking place this November.
At Keller High School, audiences can enjoy Matilda the Musical from November 6–16. Based on the beloved Roald Dahl classic, the show follows Matilda Wormwood, a brilliant young girl with a sharp mind and remarkable spirit who overcomes challenges at home and school. With clever humor, whimsical storytelling, and energetic musical numbers, this heartwarming favorite promises a joyful experience for attendees of all ages.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge High School will bring a dynamic double feature to the stage with Six: Teen Edition and Newsies, running November 6–9. Six: Teen Edition reimagines the lives of Henry VIII’s six wives with contemporary flair, empowering vocals, and fast-paced choreography. Newsies, inspired by real events, delivers high-energy dance routines and rousing anthems as it tells the story of newsboys rallying for fairness and change.
These productions highlight the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of Keller ISD’s fine arts students, directors, and production teams. From vocal performance and choreography to set design, lighting, and costumes, each show is the result of months of commitment both onstage and behind the scenes.
Community support plays an essential role in sustaining arts programming within the district. Attending these performances is a great way to encourage young performers, celebrate fine arts education, and enjoy professional-grade theater close to home.
Tickets are on sale now for all performances, and advanced purchase is recommended due to high demand.
