Bedford officials and staff rededicated Bedford Fire Station 2 on September 24 following renovations at the facility at 3940 Martin Drive.
The project added square footage and made several improvements intended to create more functional spaces for Bedford firefighters as they live, work and prepare for calls.
Renovations included new flooring, a larger kitchen and expanded sleeping quarters, along with other upgrades throughout the station.
The rededication ceremony celebrated the completed project and recognized the people who helped make the improvements possible. It also marked the official welcome of Bedford firefighters back to their newly improved home away from home.
Bedford Fire Station 2 continues to play an important role in serving the community.
