Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) has opened applications for its annual scholarship program, offering a total of $200,000 in financial support to high school seniors planning to pursue college or technical school. Forty scholarships valued at $5,000 each will be awarded to eligible students in 2026, providing meaningful assistance toward tuition, books, housing, and other educational expenses.

The program is designed to support local families and encourage students to continue their education after graduation. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current high school senior graduating in 2026
  • Have parents or guardians who are TCEC members
  • Plan to attend a college or technical school

Students who meet these requirements are encouraged to apply.

To guide families through the application process, TCEC will host Virtual Q&A Sessions where staff will answer questions and provide helpful instructions. These sessions are scheduled for:

  • November 1 at 10:00 a.m.
  • December 1 at 7:00 p.m.

Participants can scan the QR code provided in promotional materials to download the complete application packet and register for a virtual session.

The application window opened October 13, 2025, giving students and families several months to gather materials and complete their submissions. All applications must be received by February 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Scholarship recipients will be announced in April 2026.

TCEC encourages all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity. The cooperative remains committed to investing in local youth, strengthening the workforce of tomorrow, and supporting the educational dreams of the communities it serves.
